With its 944, Porsche managed to create efficient sport cars in which every sporty drivers and enthusiasts could enjoy themselves. The turbo version of the Porsche 944 was the pinacle of the 944 range and were at first intended to replace the aging Porsche 911. The Porsche 944 turbo was unveiled in February 1985 and featured a 220cv engine. In 1988 a new more powerful engine putting out 250cv was made available.
